Tilapia Fish Farming!

I'm working on my tablet at the moment, which isn't really being cooperative ( bad tablet!), but I will post some pictures here soon of my many fish!  I plan to do a video, as well, on the family adventures in this project in aquaponics.  I'll keep you posted!

This started off as a simple thing, but grows, literally, day by day!  I'll share more real soon.  Let me know if you have any interest in hearing about this.

Thanks!

Something different - Candlestick Birdhouse

Okay, so you know that I like to think "outside the box"!  Well, here's one for you, and I think you'll like it.

I took a small birdhouse that I found at JoAnn's, and a wooden candlestick holder (made by Lara's Wood Craft's), and painted it with the awesome new Americana Decor Chalky paints by DecoArt.  In case you haven't checked them out lately, you just have to see the awesome colors they have came out with.  And, I KNOW you will love the way this paint flows on all your projects, both big and small.

On this project I used the following colors. (I think you will love the names of these paints, too!  Very unique!)

Roof:  Rustic
House Body and Candlestick Body:  Smitten
Top of Candle Holder:  New Life
Bottom Colors:  Promise, Lace, Refreshing

Didn't I tell you the colors had awesome names?

I hope you try this project, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on it too!

I am planning to put this outside on my front porch, on the railing.  I think I'll love the color splash out there.

Have a great Summer, my friends!

Some of My Favorite Tea Blends

This is the cover to a book that I am working on for kindle.  I wanted to show it to you, my bloggers, first, and give you a heads up.  This book shows how to create the perfect "Good 4 U Tea" to start your day, and goes into explaining exactly why its good for.  I have listed all the ingredients, what their benefits are, and how to make it yourself!  I think you will enjoy this little book.  It's a short read, so it won't take long to get through it.  I'd love for you to check it out and leave a review, if possible!

I will announce when it is ready to view, and leave a link here showing you how to find it, as soon as possible.  Should be in the next day or so.  I'm so excited!!  I really think you will just LOVE this tea, as I do, and learn something too! : )

Here's to some relaxing moments ahead!! : )

New Listing on my Etsy : )

This is a cute little round box with a village home painted on it - - detailed with ink and sealed with a glossy sheen. Some have said it reminds them of a little “hobbit” home, painted a magical purple shade that looks cozy and inviting. (It reminds me of simple pleasures!)

The box has a magnetic closure, and the interior is sealed as well with a clear poly. This little treasure box would make a wonderful little item for your coffee table, a gift a family member or best friend, or to use as a gift carrier, where you place another item inside!

If you'd like to check it out, click here! LITTLE WOODEN BOX

I'll be posting more items for sale in the next few days.  I hope you'll go check it out! : )

MagiKote Project, It's A Fairy Door For Your Yard!

It's after you've left the front yard...when everything stills...not even the squirrels are scampering across the lawn...

That's when the fairies come out to play!

This project is a great one to bring some color to your yard, and make it a playful place to hang out.

Invite all the little fairies that hide in the woods around your home into your flower gardens, by making this little door and attaching it to the base of one of your trees.

I think they'll love it!

This project was published with my permission on Deco Art's webpage, and you can learn how to make your very own by clicking this button -->Fairy Door Instructions

Have fun with this!  Any questions? Ask away!

Yeah, I wanted to try something new this year for Christmas!

Listen, because you will only hear the REAL reason I put this ON the wall, right here on my blog.  The truth is, each year it seems to be such a hassle to the menfolk in my house to help me get my Christmas tree down.  Then, getting all the ornaments and such out, they really look like they want to pull my hair out when I ask them for their help.  But, this year in particular, we just closed our family business, and had to haul all that stuff home with us, taking up so much valuable space that it is ridiculous!  On top of all that, once all the stuff is out for me, I just can't get these guys motivated to help me decorate the tree!!  My daughter loves to help me, but she lives far away this Christmas (unfortunately) and wasn't even able to come home this year to celebrate it with us.  SOOOO...to make everyone's lives a little easier this year, I opted to just do it this way.

I mean, it was a blank wall...just begging for some attention...so I gave it some!

If you want to watch a very quick video (under 2 minutes) on how I did this, please check it out:
Click HERE to check out my new video!
I'd love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel too, where I plan on posting more video's in the near future.  Like...what did I do with this wall AFTER Christmas?? lol

I hope you like!  And would love to hear what you think of my newest venture "outside of the box"...

Happy New Years!

So another year has gone by, and it's been quite eventful!  So many things have happened, and so many things have changed.  One thing that has always remained the same though, is the love my family has for the Lord, and for each other.

I have so much to be thankful for, too.  Just a few to mention:

My husband, such a wonderful man, he works hard, helps often, loves much, and makes me feel like his special lady.  I am so blessed to have been able to spend all these years with him, and look forward to many more wonderful years ahead!

My daughter, who has found her true soul mate, married him, and now lives far far away from me.  I really don't like the space between us at all, but I know that she is happy with her new wonderful husband, and that is all I could possibly ask for.  I miss her terribly, but know that her husband takes good care of her, and where he lacks, the Lord's watching out for her.  I'm so proud of the woman she has become.

My son, who has gone through so much in our family business, with its ups and downs.  He remains optimistic and upbeat, looking towards a brand new employment future.  He has such a great heart, and remains faithful to his family and his Lord.  I know that whatever field of interest he jumps into, he will give it his all. That's just his way, and I'm proud of the man he has grown into.

My mom, who never gives up and continues to show a smile to the world around her.  I am so proud of her.  She inspires me to become a better person, through her faithfulness to the Lord.  She has been through so much these past years, but still continues to come out with a smile across her face.  I am so proud that she is my mother.

My brother, who continues to amaze me with the support he gives daily to his family.  He never complains, but is always there for anyone who calls on him.  I just wish he'd ask for help from time to time too!  He has grown in so many way, and I am still a very proud big sister to him.

My sister, through all the trials she has gone through these past years, she still manages to hold it together.  I am very proud of her, and how she continues to fight daily to keep her health up, and her family together.  She's a strong independent woman, and I just wish she lived closer so we could spend more time with each other.

My friends.  I have some of the best friends in the world.  Though we don't always talk often, and can go months without seeing each other, I still know that you are there for me with unconditional love.  The Lord has chose to surround me with friends that bring me up in the world in ways you can't even imagine, and I can only hope that I am doing the same for them.

I have a roof over my head, and it only leaks once-in-awhile (seriously, lol).  I have clean clothes on my body, I have food in my frig...I have a family that loves me...and friends that are just like my family...

I am truly blessed.  Thank you dear Jesus!! : )
