About Me

My photo
I'm so glad you dropped in for a visit, and hope you find something of interest on my blog. If so, I hope you will hit the FOLLOW button, and carry on this journey with me. It's always great to make new friends, and share our ideas and thoughts with each other. There is no telling what I will be getting myself into...just a fair warning...as I enjoy so many things! To name a few: I like drawing, painting, sketching, painting, wood burning, candle making, crocheting, canning, cooking, gardening, natural health, sharing thoughts and ideas, prepping for rainy days, and more. WHEW! I hope you enjoy it! And, I welcome any suggestions from you, as well.
I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a designer (for DecoArt), and a artist (published a few times in magazines). I also have a bachelor's degree in Natural Health Science's. I have so many hobbies and things I dabble in, that I hope you find something of interest!

Tilapia Fish Farming!

I'm working on my tablet at the moment, which isn't really being cooperative ( bad tablet!), but I will post some pictures here soon of my many fish!  I plan to do a video, as well, on the family adventures in this project in aquaponics.  I'll keep you posted!

This started off as a simple thing, but grows, literally, day by day!  I'll share more real soon.  Let me know if you have any interest in hearing about this.

Thanks!

Something different - Candlestick Birdhouse

Okay, so you know that I like to think "outside the box"!  Well, here's one for you, and I think you'll like it.

I took a small birdhouse that I found at JoAnn's, and a wooden candlestick holder (made by Lara's Wood Craft's), and painted it with the awesome new Americana Decor Chalky paints by DecoArt.  In case you haven't checked them out lately, you just have to see the awesome colors they have came out with.  And, I KNOW you will love the way this paint flows on all your projects, both big and small.

On this project I used the following colors. (I think you will love the names of these paints, too!  Very unique!)

Roof:  Rustic
House Body and Candlestick Body:  Smitten
Top of Candle Holder:  New Life
Bottom Colors:  Promise, Lace, Refreshing

Didn't I tell you the colors had awesome names?

I hope you try this project, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I'd love to hear your thoughts on it too!

I am planning to put this outside on my front porch, on the railing.  I think I'll love the color splash out there.

Have a great Summer, my friends!
